Something Different xx

Hello lovely people

I do hope you are all well and enjoy this spot of sunshine we seem to have sneaked in before Autumn hits us! Good days for washing on the line and relaxing with a brew outside!

Today I want to share with you a little card I made for a Retirement! Now before I share, this is what I was asked to make

"some kind of card, maybe like a lock box, you know a Key safe???"

hmmmm as you can see wasn't much for me to go on! But on further discussion and even some pictures from them I figured out what they meant!

So it turns out that the lady is a bit of a stickler for making sure a Key Safe box id always lock or closed at work and she's always telling them off if they don't do it!

What you think??
Took me a while to figure out what to do but once I got started it was easy!
The box was made by hand and just under an A5 card, the keys and sentiment I cheated with and used my trusty silhouette to cut and the little key pegs are rolled bits of card with a piece of card candi on the end!

I would like to enter the following Challenges
The Crafty Blogger - Anything Goes
Fussy and Fancy Friday - More than 1 fold
Robyn's Fetish - Anything Goes
Crafting at the Weekend - Anything Goes

I hope you like my wee key safe as much as the lady did that received it! I do love a challenge and its great when someone asks me to create something different! Can't wait for the next one hee

Well gotta get ready, the old eyes are getting tested at later so gotta walk the dog and have a brew in the sunshine before popping out heee

Friday, 23 August 2013

Hello everyone

its Friday which means its time form a post from little me, over on Clare Curds and wanted to share  the stunning summer themed paper Shoreline from American Crafts!

I'm such a paper magpie (as some of you already know) and these papers just needed to be in my stash and I knew they would make the perfect birthday card for a special friend

The wee card is a "Z" fold and is soooo simple to make
Here's how I did it

I used the lush papers, card blanks and some yellow card stock from my stash to make the main card and everything else I used to decorate was in my stash too

Firstly I took 2 to 6x6 card blanks folding them and then taking one and cutting an inch of one edge and then cutting the other card down to 4.5" square

Then I started decorating the inside and front panel of the large card by layer with the yellow card and the Shoreline papers

after that I stuck the small card blank to the inside of the large card with the opening going the opposite way. This forms the "Z" shape of the card, then decorate

I then used my spellbinders to make a small ornate frame for a birthday sentiment, you could use the Nestabilities Labels 25 to get the same effect and even better is they are on sale!

Then using my trusty Silhouette cameo I cut out this layered Bike added gems and flowers to the basket and highlighting with a black marker

and after added some Craftwork Sentiments and more gems the card is finished

I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it??
Well its party time here tomorrow with hubbies brother turning 40 and I've still loads to do!
Till next time

Let's have some Monochrome xxx

Well hello my lovelies

I do hope you are all well on this rather dull Tuesday??
I've been up and swimming and then giving bloods and then made cupcakes all before 10am, woop go me!

Tho I was lucky it was the "evil serial killer" nurse this time, she normal take a run and jump and 6 times to get blood! Was a lovely new nurse that only needed to attempts to get blood from my non-existent veins! Does anyone else suffer the same problem and have the most evillest nurses that try to dig a whole in your arm just for a small amount of blood?? Ok I'm exaggerating as some nurses are amazing but there are some out there determined to injure you lol

Ok enough of the ramblings inside my head

This fortnight at Dream Valley Challenges we have another fab wee challenge of MONOCHROME
for you all to play along with! Plus the lovely Robyn's Fetish has a prized up for grabs for one lucky winner

Here's my creation

I hope you like my wee "Granny's Sewing" Box? I used the kit from My Time Made Easy and the papers are from My Minds Eye, inkyness with Distress inks and everything else form my stash oh oh oh and the Butterfly die is an oldie

I would like to enter the following Challenges

I do hope you will play along this fortnight with Dream Valley Challenges and please check out what amazing creations the girls have come up with!
