Light-Up Snowflake Card x

 

Hello you lovely lot

I hope this finds you all well? Having a super week so far and finding time for crafting. It’s been busy here for me with work, some more fun Christmas makes plus even Halloween on my craft table. But today it’s back to Christmas

For my latest YouTube tutorial I created this 8x8 Christmas themed card and added some lights to make the Snowflakes sparkle a little more. The lush papers are more of my new faves from Craft Consortium and these are the Ink Drops Earth 12x12 bundle. I used Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide around the edges to add some darkness like through the papers

The wee Diodes I used are blue to match in with the cards colour-way. I used some older Dies from Chloe’s Creative Cards to make the 3 layered Snowflakes and with the same pattern papers and vellum on top. I also inked the edges of these. The swirls I used for foliage is a berry old die set from Crafters Companion but you could some leaf dies or stamps for a similar effect

The large sentiment die is another old one from my stash but you could use any you have or even a stamped sentiment would be great here.I mixed two glitters from Chloe’s, Starlit and Snowball to give a softer look that still catches the light and not forgetting all the gems

I also created this card below to show you can make a Light-Up card for any occasion

This one has more Craft Consortium paper but in the Dusk 12x12 papers. The floral dies are Summer Trio from Chloe’s along with the different layering dies

I changed it up and used some Black Soot Distress Ink on the edges of everything and an older Memory Box Sentiment die. The glitter on the flowers is Disco Fever and sadly you can’t get anymore.

8x8 Butterfly Card Tutorial x

Hello lovelies and welcome back to my blog

Hope everyone is well? Have you been keeping busy and finding time to craft? What have you making? Me?? I've been working away in the background on some special tutorials, something made especially for yous. Also I'm working away on some fun Magazine pieces, lets just say some fun girly buts will be coming in a few months

Today I wanted to share a tutorial or the Butterfly card I created for my Mum's Birthday. I had so much love on it and when I got a few requested to create a tutorial knew I couldn't say no.

In the video I show you have I made this lush pink jewelled tones card using all the same materials I used for my Mums card. I also created a green version before the tutorial to show in the video

You can see even tho I've used all the same material the card looks different but still 'pops' no matter the colour way! I think the green is my favourite, what about you?? Could you imagine this in all white??? Or even in all the colours of the rainbow??

I used the Craft Consortium Over the Rainbow Papers of both cards, teaming with glitter and Ventura Pearl card from my stash. The top layers on the flowers and Butterfly is embossed and inked Vellum. gives a 'porcelain' look my hubby says

 Well almost!!

Hello you lovely lot, I do hope you’re well? I can’t believe we are less than a month away from Christmas! This year has just been soooooo fast! Tho I bet most can’t wait for it to be over

Today I wanted to share my last little make from the Alphabet Challenge, yip we’re at the end already

I coloured you this cute little guy for Y but never got a chance to use him but with Z I created a Double Z-Fold card! I do love this little Yeti

I used Tangled Yeti from Stamping Bella coloured with Spectrum Noir Classiques and Glossy Accents to the lights. Lots of Lucy's Cards gems and snowflakes along with some matching ribbon. The lush papers are the new North Star First Edition ones that I just adore!

When I did the Y I coloured up 5 Yeti images and of course the other 4 needed to be on cards too

These 3 I used Distress Oxide inks and some masking to create the backgrounds along with some paint for snow

and this one I coloured the background with my markers including the tree then added snow again with paint splashes

What do you think?? Do you have a favourite? I love this little pink guy and the Brown one looks more like a bear but the cute light grey is my fav!!

Happy Sunday lovelies

I do hope this finds you all well? I'm on the mend after that flu just wouldn't shift! Been a busy week work and personal life, non-stop and lots of baking!

It was the SWI's (Scottish Women's Institute) 100th Birthday last year and this year was our Institutes 90th. We had a fab wee meal on Wednesday with some fab speeches, games and lots of stories from over the years. I made lots of cupcakes instead of one big cake so the ladies could take their individual one home and enjoy when they weren't so full after the yummy meal!

A fab night, lots of laughs and I was stuffed!!

Also this week was my mum's friend Diane's 50th Birthday! Sadly we couldn't make it to the party with Hubby still being ill but I did enjoy making her wee card!

I made a wee easel card using the stunning new digital stamp Happy New Year, Raise a Glass Girl from the fab Time for Tea Designs

I coloured the image with my Spectrum Noirs and the papers are First Edition Sweet Nothings and lots of glitter to make it all sparkle

I also baked again for Craft Club on Saturday where we made some paper bunting, had a good gossip and they enjoyed some yummy Lemon and Lime gooey Cupcakes

Well I'm off to finish some crochet and heat up by the fire, its so cold tonight and can see us getting the snow soon!

Ohhh I'm bad!

Its been a few weeks since I last posted, what am I like!!

I have been away with hubby staying in a log cabin and seeing my bestie. Work has been madness but good and not forgetting all the birthdays we have just had in March! March is always buy for us!!

Now I have a little more exciting news! The lovely Teresa has asked little me to join the fab team over at Crafts and Me, who am I to say no!! I adore the stamps and digis and all the ladies are amazingly talented and I feel privileged to be part of that group!

I used the stunning New Alida Digital Stamp from Sara Burrier and coloured her with Spectrum Noirs and teamed here with Wild Flowers papers from First edition

Afternoon all

Sorry for this being a bit later than normal! I'm gonna blame the weather when I actually forgot all about it lol!!

Today is sadly my last post as GDT member for Crafts and Me! I have loved sharing my wee makes with you this month and loved seeing the other ladies pieces too! I just wanna thank Teresa for giving me this wee chance!

Now onto my card, my favourite image of the month!!

The image is the beautiful Heather by Hannah Lynn and can be bought in both digital and rubber stamp form! I coloured her with my Spectrum Noirs and touch of silver and gold fine liners matching them to Basic Grey Plumeria papers

Hello sweeties

I do hope your well? I'm exhausted this week with all my different orders, allocations and then last night was my demo with the SWRI ladies! I need bucket loads of tea and a good book but will just get on with things lol!

Anyways today is my second wee card for the GDT over at Crafts and Me and this time I'm sharing a wee card with the Lucy Loo - Delivering Love Letter

The images is another perfect Valentine edition but could be for that Sassy friend in your life lol! The image comes in Digital and Rubber stamp form! I used the fab Digital Floral Fantasy Papers in the background! My printer is pants and doesn't show them in all there detail but they matched my Spectrum Noirs colouring

Hello my lovelies

What a week so far its been here, so busy with work, Birthdays and then being exhausted! But on top of it all I'm still hyper! I don't think I'm going come down from my cloud for a good wee while!

I've been working on my magazine allocations trying to make them the best I could, I want you lovely lot to WANT to make something similar too! NO peeks tho just have to wait till March! Also I'm working on my DT work, card orders and family Birthday cards. I have a party on Friday too for my Mum's husband as he turns 50, so I have 72 cupcakes to make as well!! Busy busy busy, but that's how I like it!!

Today I wanted to share a wee card I managed to colour

 The papers are the delish Crate Paper - Cute Girl and the image is coloured with Spectrum Noirs! I was really good and wrote down the colours I used but ehhhh I think I binned the bit of paper ekkkk sorry!!
