Princess Pumpkin Carriage xx

 Happy Thursday you lovely lot

Apologies for the lack of posts, sadly been a bit under the weather and not been able to do anything! Tho we do have some happy news in our household, with a new bundle of joy

our new fur baby Jura!

She is a gorgeous Golden Cocker Spaniel that my super amazing hubby surprised me with! With it being our 14th Wedding Anniversary and the modern gift of Gold Jewellery .... I think she is just perfect for it!! She has been doing great which is a plus for me being struggling just those tiny needle teeth that I seem to have forgotten about with Tillie! Here's to many adventures with her
___________________________

Now I have been keeping up with my Alphabet Challenge, with creating an MDF Memory Book, a Nutcracker that kinda scared me and a sad Crochet Octopus that still needs his tentacles attached. That brings me to P

I used the SVG Cuts Pumpkin Carriage from the SVG File Enchanted Autumn that I have had for a few years. I used some very old DCWV papers from my stash that has glitter on it (the light hitting the white is making it brighter) and then added a super gorgeous Some Odd Girl Digi Stamp coloured with Spectrum Noir Classiques

I added a faux tea light inside so it would glow in the dark. I also adjusted the sides to allow where the lanterns sit to have light popping through as well

I have to admit I have the Carriage half done sitting in my projects drawer and just had to add glue and the Princess. Hopefully once my hand allows me more movement I will be back at it! I 'm kinda cheating for Q so watch this space hehehe

Take care and stay safe until next time

Little Lantern x

 Happy Wednesday you lovely lot

I do hope this finds you all well and you are having a good week so far? have you cooled down a little where you are? Or is it still warm? Its cooler here than the weekend but still clammy but with the odd rain shower!

Today I'm sharing with you my L Alphabet make for Use Your Craft Stash

I made a Little Lantern using a fab SVG Cuts file and embellished it with Lawn Fawn Stamps

As you can see I used some Lemon and Lime green papers as well as Light Grey for the body of the Lantern. I used my cute little Lawn fawn cuties stamp and die set Butterfly Kisses coloured with Spectrum Noir Classiques. The dots are my Nuvo Crystal drops along with Distress Oxide on all the edges

Remember you can join in all the fun over at Use Your Craft Stash and can win a wee prize every 2 weeks! See what the other girls have been up too for some fun inspiration! Plus it gets you using you're stash again

Well I've lots of Christmas allocations to get on with plus other bits and bobs

Birthday Box xx

Hello everyone

Sorry I haven't been about, we managed to get away for a few days and was soooooooo busy right before we left! Was just lovely to sit back, do some walking and find some normality all while staying away from people! Bliss

Today I wanted to share a wee Exploding Birthday Box I created a few weeks back!

I actually made 3 cards for this amazing lady, this was for her daughter to give! Plus a card from hubbies Mum to send and one at the last minute from her partner! It was all hush hush and she could't believe they had all contacted me to create something Special for her 70th Birthday!

I used some of my favourite Time for Tea Designs Digi Stamps coloured with my Spectrum Noir Classiques, the Butterflies are an old Crafter's Companion die, some beautiful Carta Bella 12x12 papers, Mulberry Flowers, gems and lots and lots of glitter!

The other two cards I will share over the next few weeks with you all! All different too!

Well I need to get back too work, creating a wee Fairy House and working with some fab new bits and bobs that I can't wait for you all to see!

Stay safe and keep crafting

Little Fairy Birthday xx

Morning lovelies and Happy Monday

Hope you are all well? Staying safe as you can be? And not getting blown away or washed away with the crazy weather we are having?? One minute we had glorious sun then damp damp damp! It looked like snow hitting the windows at one point it was so heavy!

Enough of the weather, I'm sharing my wee Fairy House today

It was my mother-in laws birthday yesterday and knowing I would need a card for her and a project for the Use Your Craft Stash Challenge, I combined them! Originally I was making a Fawn for my 'F' project but a fairy was more suited to the Birthday (maybe use it later ....... R for reindeer?? Antlers tho and red nose?????? hmmm)

I used the Dreaming Tree SVG file to create the Fairy House along with my Bazzil 12x12 card stock. I used my favourite papers First Edition Chasing Rainbows and the Fairy image is a Some Odd Girl Digi coloured with my Spectrum Noir Classiques. A fern die from Sizzix to decorate, Nuvo Drops, flowers, gems from Lucy's Cards and not forgetting Fairy lights inside! ohhhh and its Fuchsia

I had picked out more Fairy like colours to look more like a Toadstool but these papers were more girly and perfect for the colour scheme I had in mind! Adding some Distress Ink to the edges to finish brought it to life.

I made a little slot in the back and fed the fairy lights inside with the switch hanging out then glued the whole thing closed. If I had thought I would have 'wired' it so the switch was glued on the underside on the roof

Remember anyone can join in the challenge and play along and we're still working on E and F so foil, fairy, easel, elegant...... anything to match the letter goes

Well I've got a super busy week working on ........ let's say the Titanic may be involved lol
'TTFN' Ta ta for now as Tigger would say

Let's start again ....

Wow! It's be a very long time since I last blogged, almost 2 years exactly!

So much has happened, so many changes, sadness, happiness and endless trying to get back to where I was. Last week I decided it was time to start all over again and that means restarting my blog, my place to share and show my crafts, life and adventures

So le's start again ....

Hi my name is Mel, I live with my amazing hubby and spend my days doing what I love! In October 2018 I became very ill! It was the day before my husbands Birthday and I spent almost a month in hospital
Over the following days weeks and months I have learned to walk again, talk again and get back to crafting all while being left blind in my left eye. I still struggle to walk somedays, word full sentences and use my left side but I do try and that's what matters

While I was recuperating those first few weeks I tried to crochet as I knew anything that kept my hands moving would help. I created a crochet blanket using whatever wool was in my basket and learned a new stitch for each row along the way

It might not look pretty, the colours may clash but that there was something my body produced after all the drama!! Plus its sooooo heavy, the weight would kill me to move! It is 2x2 metres

It was sad every morning walking by my craft room so I closed the door but could always feel the need to go in! Things slowly got better for me and I stepped back in and got back into my magazine work, taking on one or two allocations at a time. It was just what I needed to get me back into work and the enjoyment of being in my craft room again.

We had many days out away from public and crowds and I slowly started to try hill walking again. It would exhaust me so easily and would spend days after just trying to get my body to want to move. But I did it and by October and the anniversary of the of becoming ill I was standing slightly lopsided and talking better! We even had a charity bake day in the house while hubby abseiled of the Forth Rail Bridge. Between us we made over £1300 for charity!!

Sadly in November we lost our fur baby Tillie. The arthritis was taking over her poor baby and she began to struggle. We had one last adventure with her up to Glencoe and made some memories before we took away her pain.

Although it was so hard to do it was the best thing for our girl and when I look back I know she hung on longer for us! I miss seeing her lying at the bottom of our bed while the sun shines in, snoring away and having puppy dreams!

We started 2020 up in Glencoe with fireworks and beautiful scenery, walking some more and building up my mobility. Planning and trying to be positive

The year started amazingly up until all this craziness began, a trip to the Isle of Skye for my Birthday,  trips to our favourite place working on more fun pieces and trying more walking! Making plans to go here and there and looking forward to my brothers Wedding. Now bam!! I'm stuck at home but it just means that all the adventures and plans will just have to wait! We WILL get there, see places and do all the things! Plus find a way for my brother and his partner to have an amazing day, whenever it happens!!
___________________________________________________________

After all that, are you still there??
Want to see some craftiness now?? I think it's time ........

My lovely friend Angela has started an fab little Facebook Challenge Use Your Craft Stash!. And exactly like the name, that's what we want you to do! Dig out all those crafty bits you've been hoarding and try using them.
And with Angela, Carole, Karen and myself we want to get you all crafting again

This weeks theme is Things with Wings

I used a SVG file I have had for years and wanted to try Boho Butterflies, some very very very old Core'dinations core 12x12 cardstock, vellum coloured with my trusty Spectrum Noir pens and used Gilding wax that must be at least 5 years old to add bronze details

I feed some lights up in inside the stem of the body and bunched them in the lampshade and its all set to go. The lights are some fab wee ones I got from Amazon meant for wine bottles and just perfect for this

Hope you will join in the challenge and dig into your own stash of goodies to create something!

Thanks again for staying and reading this HUGE "first" post and I do hope to see you again soon!

Its been all work work work here as well as finishing off our bedroom and having time with hubby! We did manage a quiet weekend and some lunch out but back to work as normal! Hopefully we'll get some mini adventures this weekend if the weather is as nice as they say it will be???? Hmmmmm yeah we'll see

Today I wanted to share a "little" project I made over the past few days! I say "little" as well its anything but!

What you think?? I wanted something a little different and knew I just had to try this out! The digi image Blooming Lovely is 7 inches tall and coloured up with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I then matched the flowers in the arrangement to her outfit

I added one of the sentiments from the Time For Tea Design new release and sprayed the flowers with a sparkle spray that you can just make out in the pictures!

Before I go here's a wee peek at out lovely finished bedroom

If only I could keep hubby and the dog out and it would stay all lovely with no hairs everywhere and man stuff lol!

Well off to finish work, have a super day everyone
