The 4th December Challenge xxx

Good evening

I hope you are all well on this bitter cold night? Have you had a good day? Did you do anything nice or was it just a relaxing wee day for some?? I had a blast today! This morning was my wee craft club and then ........ we got the CHRISTMAS TREES hee!!

Lovely hubby phoned the forestry while I as having fun at craft club and they said the roads were clear! Woop woop!! I was worse than a kid! The trees were gorjuss and very reasonable prized! A gorjuss 7ft 4 and a fat lil 4/5ft Fraser Fir are now adorned with my lil decorations at a cost of only £42 for both! Last years 5ft cost us £45 and died after only a week!!

Anyways, as I have probably mentioned once or twice, today was craft club! We made some lil Christmas trees, but with a twist! All we used was a we tub, garden cane, some plaster of paris to set it, material and some wee elastic bands to create ....

.... and this is what we made!

What do you think? Ok I know its not finished but its looking not bad hee! Needs some wee decorations and maybe a star!! The other girls were fab too! Lesley made hers with a gorjuss tartan and looked amazing!

Was fab time at the club, maybe just a little too much laughing going on(mostly me and the other Lesley or at Me) but a fab Saturday morning!

Once the club was finished hubby picked me up and drove us straight to the Forestry at Peebles, the roads were so icy at bits but such stunning views! Once we got our trees we headed back home to get some new lights then home to decorate hee! It took us forever to get them done as had to put hooks on over 120 bauble for the conservatory and check the 300 for the main tree! So the pictures aren't the best but .....

ta ra ....

Our weeish 7ft tree

one of my wee butterflies(of course)

My happy fat tree hee

I just love doing the tree, really makes Christmas come alive for me! All that's left is to put the outside lights up and then string some more in the conservatory! I'll add more pictures tomorrow so you can see the gorjuss colours on the trees!

Off now to see who wins Celebrity, yeah I have been watching the odd episode hee!

Thanks for popping by and for all your fab comments loved to read them all! Oh and the boots are ordered hee!

Hugs and Kisses

  2. I love the tree you made at your craft club Mel...it's soooo cute. Your real trees look amazing too. I don't usually put mine up till the week before Christmas. I've hung up the cross stitch advent calendar I made the year we came to Aberdeenshire. And I always put up two Christmas cross stitch pics I made years ago too.

  4. Hi Melly. Wow, I love the tree you made at your craft club, it is gorgeous. What a great idea and would look lovely as a table centrepiece for Christmas. Glad you got your trees and the roads weren't too bad. They look gorgeous and are beautifully decorated. You really have a lot of baubles, you must have good patience to hang them all. Take care.
