Exploding Wedding Box Card

Hello you lovely lot
Hope everyone is well and had a super weekend? We were lucky and managed to get away and enjoy the glorious sunshine. Jura was loving it!

Have any of you been crafting? What have you been making/working on? I’m busy working away on something a little ‘fruity’ but can’t sure just yet. Keep watching for a little something sweet coming soon

Now today I’m sharing another wee YouTube Tutorial with you all, an Exploding Box Card.

Some of you that have followed me for years all know how much I love making these and knew it was about time I shared how I make them. I really hope you will give it a go once you see how easy it is

I used some really old Prima Marketing 12x12 pattern papers but you can find similar in lots of different brands and I teamed it with printed sentiments and lots of die-cuts but you can add anything to decorate and personalise for the lucky person or couple

Remember if you make something following one of my tutorials please let me know, tag me @meljessdesigns on any of your socials

Have a great week lovelies and and here’s to another fun crafty week
Hugs Mel x

Wedding Time xx

 Happy Monday lovelies

Hope this wee post finds you all well? Have you been enjoying the sunshine? It’s been lovely to have some heat and see Mr Sunshine instead of snow showers. We managed to get to away for the first time in 8 months, crazy that it’s been so long since we were at the caravan! Luckily there was no damage for it not being in winter mood and only the bedding needed washed

Today I’m sharing something a little special

This here was a little labour of love as not only was the first Wedding Box in ages, it was for my brother and his wife!!

I give you Mr and Mrs Shand
Look how absolutely happy they both look, what a day they had eventually!

Here is some more pictures of the box up close

I used the lush Butterfly Kisses papers from Dovecraft that you can find over at Craft Label. I inked white card for the base to give a distressed look also adding to the other layered to match. The lovely the little butterfly is a die from the same set that I layered up to give a different look. I used some die-cuts and pictures of the couple as well as lots of Mulberry Flowers.

Of course you can see instead of a cake in the middle we have a Cheese Cake Tower lol as this was what they were having on the day instead of a cake I knew I had to add it here! I cut box shapes from white card and coloured them with my Spectrum Noirs to add all the cheese detail

I'm so pleased they eventually got to have their day, even if it wasn't't what they originally wanted it was still one very magically day! Plus their dog Bruce even managed to get involved

Well I best get some work done, even tho I just want to sit in the sunshine! Theses Christmas makes (yip I said the C word) won't get made themselves!

Until next time take care

Birthday Box xx

Hello everyone

Sorry I haven't been about, we managed to get away for a few days and was soooooooo busy right before we left! Was just lovely to sit back, do some walking and find some normality all while staying away from people! Bliss

Today I wanted to share a wee Exploding Birthday Box I created a few weeks back!

I actually made 3 cards for this amazing lady, this was for her daughter to give! Plus a card from hubbies Mum to send and one at the last minute from her partner! It was all hush hush and she could't believe they had all contacted me to create something Special for her 70th Birthday!

I used some of my favourite Time for Tea Designs Digi Stamps coloured with my Spectrum Noir Classiques, the Butterflies are an old Crafter's Companion die, some beautiful Carta Bella 12x12 papers, Mulberry Flowers, gems and lots and lots of glitter!

The other two cards I will share over the next few weeks with you all! All different too!

Well I need to get back too work, creating a wee Fairy House and working with some fab new bits and bobs that I can't wait for you all to see!

Stay safe and keep crafting

Silver Wedding xx

Happy Tuesday
How are we all doing this week? Another week in lockdown and another week shielding! But things are looking better so hopefully it will continue if everyone follows the rules and sticks to Social Distancing!

Ok enough of the heavy .....

I've been working away on card orders this week and also Autumn makes for my allocations, yes Autumn lol! I also just got my first Christmas one in!! Don't worry still a few more months before it actually goes on sale
-----------------------------------------------

Today I wanted to share a wee Silver Wedding Exploding Box I was asked to make for a lovely lady to send to her Brother and Sister-in-Law during the first few weeks of Lockdown

I used some old silver toned pattern papers I've had in my stash a while and teamed them with my favourite Bazzil 12x12 White Card and Mulberry Flower to decorate

I cut out some files on my Silhouette as I couldn't find any of my dies or stamps I normally would team with Wedding or Anniversary cards but they worked out really well! I just coloured up the Champagne with Spectrum Noirs and added lots of sparkle to finish it off

I know the couple loved it and this was my first wee Exploding Box I had created in a while! Loved every minute of it and can't wait to make another

Well I best get back to work and then maybe bake some cookies for my hard working hubby

take acre and all stay safe in these crazy times
