The 3rd December Challenge xxx

Evening lovelies
Hope everyone is well out there in blogland? Did the the weather effect any of you today? Nearly the entire train service was stopped here in wee Scotland and poor people were stranded! Wee souls that they are!
Well, I must admit the cold is getting to me just a wee bit tho but still loving the snow hee! We did get out today but not for my tree!! BOO HOO!!! The forestry is totally blocked and we cant get to it! Will try again tomorrow, phoning again first(clever hubby thought best to phone hee)! If all else fails we're heading to Harburn, near Livingstone! They do stunning trees a bit dearer but it was where we married, so maybe thats the plan hee!!
As I said we did get out today, got the essentials new slippers and jammie bottoms oh and bread and milk hee! My feet were frozen, think my boots aren't suited to this weather! More for looking good than keeping your tiny toes warm! So before doing this post I had a wee look to find some wee Winter Boots! Having really small feet, a size 2, was struggling! But after a while I came across these Merrell kids Snow boots! What do you all think?
Too young for me? What colour? Oh and do you think when they say "delivery 3-21 days" that it'll more likely mean they'll be here after Christmas?
The lovely Sarah has started a Christmas Crafting blog, with some fab inspiration to help you get set for Christmas! Not only that she's adding lil Christmas Journals Prompt for all those in need of journal hints! Wednesdays was
"What does Christmas mean to you?"

For me, its Family! My lovely hubby and mad dog! Our wee world and reflecting on the year we've had! And the lights, sparkle and cheer that the season brings! I'm still such a big kid at heart, my eyes the size of plates when I see the decorations! But lastly, I love the look on my love ones faces when they open their gifts! Always a surprise hee! What about you? What is Christmas to you??

Today's Prompt was

"Describe your Christmas Tree...."

Our tree is real, normally a Fraser Fur as I love the slightly blue tones of it in the light! This year we'll have two, our normal 6-7ft and a lil 4ft for the Conservatory! We both do they tree, well hubby puts on the lights and the high baubles and I do the rest! Our main tree is blue and silver tones and the Conservatory I picked traditional red, green and gold! We have some wee decorations that hubby has bought me, one for every year we've been together! Also we have a funny wee bone shaped one that we got after getting Tillie hee! What's your tree like? Real or faux? do you go for the traditional colours or something more modern??

Well, You'll be totally fed up now, reading such a long post! But I'm making up for the short post you'll get tomorrow! Its craft club in the morning and then fingers crossed we'll have our tree! have a nice night everyone!

Thanks for popping by
Hugs and kisses

  2. PINK!
Dodgy sounding delivery though ... they're definately hedging their bets there!
Hope you're managing OK in the snow and that you get out to get your trees tomorrow!

  3. Hi Melly. Would say either of the boots as they are both nice, although I wouldn't count on getting them before Christmas going by tonight's news about guaranteed deliveries. We have two trees every year. The living room is artifical and decorated in red. The hall is a real tree and mainly red as well although it has different coloured hanging decorations, candy canes and chocolate, etc. I do the living room tree and the girls do the hall tree. We keep our presents under the hall tree and open these on Boxing Day, so the girls get to enjoy their 'Santa' presents on Christmas Day. Hope you get your tree tomorrow and the snow is not as bad. We got a lot of snow overnight and it was beautiful to wake up to. Take care and have a nice weekend. Donna

  4. hun those boots are fab. I love both but I can just see you in the pink ones...so you!!

I am a size 5 and like you can get childrens boots or trainers. They're vat free too so even better.

We have an artificial tree in our lounge but would quite like to get a real one now we have the diningroom. This will all depend on the snow just like you, thanks for the tip about Livingstone.
