Merry-Go-Round x

Hello you lovely lot,
I hope this finds you all well? Have you been crafting? Is in Christmas yet for your crafting or is it still too early for you? I’ve been working away on Christmas makes already so felt that my latest tutorial should be the same

Away last year my lovely editor challenged me to create something different and of course I jumped at the the challenge, a little Merry-Go-Round. It was designed especially for the Hunkydory Magazine but decided I had to make it again. This is the original design using the magazine kit

What do you think? The original had a fantasy feeling with the unicorn stamps and gold mirror card and embellishments. I knew I wanted to make the next one a little different and with Christmas on my desk, decided to go with it

I used some older Christmas papers from the Craft Consortium called Candy Christmas and teamed it with brown cardstock and older pink papers to layer. The cute little Deer is a digi stamp I found on Etsy from Zekesami, here is the link. I coloured it up with my Copic Markers adding some glitter to the antlers and spots.

The gems are mostly from my stash that I got from AliExpress or Chloe’s Creative Cards and the very bright pink ribbon I got from Amazon in a pack. I also added some wee battery fairy lights, gluing the battery pack into the Gift Box Base and feeding through to hide around the edges

The fun part is the Merry-Go-Round actually turns. I fitted a piece of pipe to help keep it steady in the middle and when you turn the top the wee Deers are go round like old fashioned hobby horses. See the wee video below to see it working

My tutorial will show you how easy it is to make your own, even with a few mistakes lol. You can create your own by using the free download found over at Craft World HQ, free to all members.

I hope you will create your own. Especially making your own Christmas Decoration or Trinket/Gift Box with plenty from to fit a gift, treat, sweets or even a Gift Card for someone Special

You can also find more of my YouTube tutorials on my channel, why not check them out.

I best get back to work, more Christmas makes. Until next time

All about the Music xx

 Hello lovelies
Sorry it’s been a while, work was crazy then my health took a dip, but I’m back!

Once lockdown eased here in Scotland it meant hubby could get back to working in homes and could actual get the kitchens done that people had booked in since December! It was crazy with more smaller jobs coming in and then I was busy with magazines! Just what we needed after a lllloooonnnggggg winter lockdown.

Jura is getting bigger and keeping us on our toes! We definitely forgot all the puppy years with Tillie! But we wouldn’t change her lol

Today I wanted to share my makes from Papercraft Essentials 199, one of my faves this year

The magazine has a fab music theme and the cover gift is perfect for creating some fun makes for anyone! Including those male cards I know some struggle with

I had so much fun with this theme and designed something fun and ehhh something I am soooo proud of

Yip I did design some headphones!
They full size with slighter larger ear cans as I created them to hold some sweets or a gift! It took me almost a week to design and create these and then another to create the right sizes and files needed for those to create them

Here they are open as you can see room enough for treats. I also unknowingly went with a Gryffindor colour scheme when making them which for me is the perfect happy accident

Below is some of my other makes including a small Drinks Stereo Boombox and a little Piano

You can find the magazine here and also buy it over here plus most supermarkets stock it. I know you’ll love the other ideas the rest of the Design Team have come up with using the kit including more inspiration throughout the magazine

Remember you can find more craft inspiration over at Craft World or Facebook

Until next time, take care and stay safe

Beary Love xx

Happy Sunday you lovely lot

Hope this finds you well? And you’re staying warm in these bitter cold days and freezing nights? Crazy winter compared to the mildness we had last year

Today I wanted to share this cute little Bear Love I was very lucky to receive. The lovely Sophie over at Sofs Paper Planet sent me this after I shared my wee Fox from the last post! I felt very privileged to get this wee cutie and knew just the papers to make him out off

I used the very last sheets from my lovely Paper Posies pack from Dovecraft inked on all the edges and fold lines with Distress Oxide. I added gloss to the ears, eyes and nose to make them stand out after only having a little pale pink paper left. The cutie is 12 inches tall but the SVG file could be adjusted so you could make them in different sizes

Please note the paper are out of stock but Craft Label have some others just as yummy

I added a satin ribbon around his neck tied in a bow and added a gem to finish. Next time I’m going to add a space in the back like a hinge to add some wee gift or yummy treats

Remember we are still running our wee Facebook group Use Your Craft Stash and you can join us anytime. We are finding it a good way to use our crafty stash and keep us busy during this lockdown and winter months

Well almost time for dinner then we have Perfect Planet tonight before Monday again
Take care and stay safe

Welly Boot Season xx

 Happy New Year lovelies

Hello everyone and welcome to 2021!!
We’ve had a slow start to 2021 with some puppy walks and poor hubby having toothache! He’s sorted now but with Scotland and the rest of the UK in another Lockdown it’s not the start we were all hoping for!!??

My crafty friends and I have decided to carry on with our weekly crafting, using up our stash!
For me, I want to try using up some of the SVG files I have along with alllllll those pretty papers I've been saving
I started with a newer file and some of my lush First Edition North Star papers

How cute are these Welly Boots?? I soooooo love them and want to make them even smaller as fab gifts

The file is from SVG Cuts and the lovely Green Thumb set along with the lush First Edition paper and Grey 12x12 card stock. The flowers and leaves are different dies and files along with Distress Oxide Ink and Nuvo Drops. I also used some little gems from Chloes Creative Cards Bling

What do you think? My hubby says they could fit me....... cheeky!!
The papers are Winter themed but you couldn’t tell right away from the Welly Boots or flowers but do look fab against the grey cardstock

You can join in the fun creating something, anything at all as long as you are using up your crafty stash! It doesn't even need to be paper related, any craft will work! Plus it will help us through this next Lockdown!!!!! See the group here for more inspiration from everyone

Stay safe everyone and take care

Icy Makes xx

 Hello you lovely people

Have you been crafting recently?? Keeping busy while more restrictions come in??
With the darker days coming in I've decided to challenge myself and creating something I have wanted to make for a while! I won't say much because I think my first attempt will be a fail! But I will try .... keep following for more updates and maybe I'll share what I've been doing soon??? Is there something you've always wanted to to?? Why not try!!

The latest edition of Die-Cutting Essentials 70 is OUT NOW

The free cover gift is a fab Candle die that is perfect for all you're Christmas cards or makes. I had so much fun creating some Gift Ideas with the die

Using the die as my inspiration for all my makes 'shapes' I created a fun Christmas Decoration as well as a little Gift Bag. But my favourite piece is the Tea Light Holder

Using the die to create my shape I added vellum to soften the light and coloured with my markers.

I think these would look fab along a Christmas Table or along a Fire Place with some faux twinkle candles!

Not only is the magazine jam packed with ideas using the die it has more amazing die-cutting ideas from the Design Team for you to try. Get you're copy here

Well I best get something done while the puppy snoozes or I'll just sit here looking online for pretty craft bits that I DON'T need hehehehe

Until next time! Stay safe

Little Rudolph xx

Hello Lovelies

I hope you are all well and cosying into Autumn?? We had a wee weekend away on some little adventures with Jura to the Highlands! She was great and only had one wee accident involving bursting the Travel Crate lol after that she was super! She didn't like the rain but loved the attention of all the people and other dogs. Hubby has decided he needs a sign with her name, age and breed or charge a £1 for each time lol she's just too cute

Found a sign for her in Oban

Didn't like the rain

and found the perfect spot for snoozing!

A great wee first holiday for her
__________________________________

I have't been working still but have manages to finished some bits I started for the Use Your Craft Stash Challenge! Does It count that I had bits cut out for months?? So here is R

Here is my 'little' Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer
The file is one I found on Etsy that you are suppose to print out, cut and piece together but I turned it into an SVG File. the fawn dense sit perfectly and the back has a little space but it still looks ok with his little gloss Red Nose. I also added holes to the moon so I could add the light to shine through

When I first got this I though it would be about 10 inches but its actually 21!!!! I've placed a Distress Oxide pad that I used on the moon to show the size.
Used old old old yellow 12x12 papers that I don't think I would have used any other times as it was soooooo bright, lots of brown off cut 12x12 pieces and glossy accents to the nose along hot glue to hold it all together

I also created my S, an oldie but a goodie from my fav SVG Files

My little Snowman Treat Box from SVG CUTS. The file is called Christmas Open House and has some fun Christmas home gifts makes

I used my large stash of white card with Silver Centura Pearl Card, Slate Grey card scraps, Scarlet Ribbon, Mulberry leaves and some Silver berries along with Nuvo Drops for the details

A wee video to show the sparkle hehehehe

Well I have to sort my craft room, reply to emails and get ready for hopefully getting back to my favourite ........ making things
Remember anyone can join us at Use Your Craft Stash so please come on over!!

Take care and stay safe

Princess Pumpkin Carriage xx

 Happy Thursday you lovely lot

Apologies for the lack of posts, sadly been a bit under the weather and not been able to do anything! Tho we do have some happy news in our household, with a new bundle of joy

our new fur baby Jura!

She is a gorgeous Golden Cocker Spaniel that my super amazing hubby surprised me with! With it being our 14th Wedding Anniversary and the modern gift of Gold Jewellery .... I think she is just perfect for it!! She has been doing great which is a plus for me being struggling just those tiny needle teeth that I seem to have forgotten about with Tillie! Here's to many adventures with her
___________________________

Now I have been keeping up with my Alphabet Challenge, with creating an MDF Memory Book, a Nutcracker that kinda scared me and a sad Crochet Octopus that still needs his tentacles attached. That brings me to P

I used the SVG Cuts Pumpkin Carriage from the SVG File Enchanted Autumn that I have had for a few years. I used some very old DCWV papers from my stash that has glitter on it (the light hitting the white is making it brighter) and then added a super gorgeous Some Odd Girl Digi Stamp coloured with Spectrum Noir Classiques

I added a faux tea light inside so it would glow in the dark. I also adjusted the sides to allow where the lanterns sit to have light popping through as well

I have to admit I have the Carriage half done sitting in my projects drawer and just had to add glue and the Princess. Hopefully once my hand allows me more movement I will be back at it! I 'm kinda cheating for Q so watch this space hehehe

Take care and stay safe until next time
