Welly Boot Season xx

 Happy New Year lovelies

Hello everyone and welcome to 2021!!
We’ve had a slow start to 2021 with some puppy walks and poor hubby having toothache! He’s sorted now but with Scotland and the rest of the UK in another Lockdown it’s not the start we were all hoping for!!??

My crafty friends and I have decided to carry on with our weekly crafting, using up our stash!
For me, I want to try using up some of the SVG files I have along with alllllll those pretty papers I've been saving
I started with a newer file and some of my lush First Edition North Star papers

How cute are these Welly Boots?? I soooooo love them and want to make them even smaller as fab gifts

The file is from SVG Cuts and the lovely Green Thumb set along with the lush First Edition paper and Grey 12x12 card stock. The flowers and leaves are different dies and files along with Distress Oxide Ink and Nuvo Drops. I also used some little gems from Chloes Creative Cards Bling

What do you think? My hubby says they could fit me....... cheeky!!
The papers are Winter themed but you couldn’t tell right away from the Welly Boots or flowers but do look fab against the grey cardstock

You can join in the fun creating something, anything at all as long as you are using up your crafty stash! It doesn't even need to be paper related, any craft will work! Plus it will help us through this next Lockdown!!!!! See the group here for more inspiration from everyone

Stay safe everyone and take care

Little Rudolph xx

Hello Lovelies

I hope you are all well and cosying into Autumn?? We had a wee weekend away on some little adventures with Jura to the Highlands! She was great and only had one wee accident involving bursting the Travel Crate lol after that she was super! She didn't like the rain but loved the attention of all the people and other dogs. Hubby has decided he needs a sign with her name, age and breed or charge a £1 for each time lol she's just too cute

Found a sign for her in Oban

Didn't like the rain

and found the perfect spot for snoozing!

A great wee first holiday for her

I have't been working still but have manages to finished some bits I started for the Use Your Craft Stash Challenge! Does It count that I had bits cut out for months?? So here is R

Here is my 'little' Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer
The file is one I found on Etsy that you are suppose to print out, cut and piece together but I turned it into an SVG File. the fawn dense sit perfectly and the back has a little space but it still looks ok with his little gloss Red Nose. I also added holes to the moon so I could add the light to shine through

When I first got this I though it would be about 10 inches but its actually 21!!!! I've placed a Distress Oxide pad that I used on the moon to show the size.
Used old old old yellow 12x12 papers that I don't think I would have used any other times as it was soooooo bright, lots of brown off cut 12x12 pieces and glossy accents to the nose along hot glue to hold it all together

I also created my S, an oldie but a goodie from my fav SVG Files

My little Snowman Treat Box from SVG CUTS. The file is called Christmas Open House and has some fun Christmas home gifts makes

I used my large stash of white card with Silver Centura Pearl Card, Slate Grey card scraps, Scarlet Ribbon, Mulberry leaves and some Silver berries along with Nuvo Drops for the details

A wee video to show the sparkle hehehehe

Well I have to sort my craft room, reply to emails and get ready for hopefully getting back to my favourite ........ making things
Remember anyone can join us at Use Your Craft Stash so please come on over!!

Take care and stay safe

Princess Pumpkin Carriage xx

 Happy Thursday you lovely lot

Apologies for the lack of posts, sadly been a bit under the weather and not been able to do anything! Tho we do have some happy news in our household, with a new bundle of joy

our new fur baby Jura!

She is a gorgeous Golden Cocker Spaniel that my super amazing hubby surprised me with! With it being our 14th Wedding Anniversary and the modern gift of Gold Jewellery .... I think she is just perfect for it!! She has been doing great which is a plus for me being struggling just those tiny needle teeth that I seem to have forgotten about with Tillie! Here's to many adventures with her

Now I have been keeping up with my Alphabet Challenge, with creating an MDF Memory Book, a Nutcracker that kinda scared me and a sad Crochet Octopus that still needs his tentacles attached. That brings me to P

I used the SVG Cuts Pumpkin Carriage from the SVG File Enchanted Autumn that I have had for a few years. I used some very old DCWV papers from my stash that has glitter on it (the light hitting the white is making it brighter) and then added a super gorgeous Some Odd Girl Digi Stamp coloured with Spectrum Noir Classiques

I added a faux tea light inside so it would glow in the dark. I also adjusted the sides to allow where the lanterns sit to have light popping through as well

I have to admit I have the Carriage half done sitting in my projects drawer and just had to add glue and the Princess. Hopefully once my hand allows me more movement I will be back at it! I 'm kinda cheating for Q so watch this space hehehe

Take care and stay safe until next time

Let's start again ....

Wow! It's be a very long time since I last blogged, almost 2 years exactly!

So much has happened, so many changes, sadness, happiness and endless trying to get back to where I was. Last week I decided it was time to start all over again and that means restarting my blog, my place to share and show my crafts, life and adventures

So le's start again ....

Hi my name is Mel, I live with my amazing hubby and spend my days doing what I love! In October 2018 I became very ill! It was the day before my husbands Birthday and I spent almost a month in hospital
Over the following days weeks and months I have learned to walk again, talk again and get back to crafting all while being left blind in my left eye. I still struggle to walk somedays, word full sentences and use my left side but I do try and that's what matters

While I was recuperating those first few weeks I tried to crochet as I knew anything that kept my hands moving would help. I created a crochet blanket using whatever wool was in my basket and learned a new stitch for each row along the way

It might not look pretty, the colours may clash but that there was something my body produced after all the drama!! Plus its sooooo heavy, the weight would kill me to move! It is 2x2 metres

It was sad every morning walking by my craft room so I closed the door but could always feel the need to go in! Things slowly got better for me and I stepped back in and got back into my magazine work, taking on one or two allocations at a time. It was just what I needed to get me back into work and the enjoyment of being in my craft room again.

We had many days out away from public and crowds and I slowly started to try hill walking again. It would exhaust me so easily and would spend days after just trying to get my body to want to move. But I did it and by October and the anniversary of the of becoming ill I was standing slightly lopsided and talking better! We even had a charity bake day in the house while hubby abseiled of the Forth Rail Bridge. Between us we made over £1300 for charity!!

Sadly in November we lost our fur baby Tillie. The arthritis was taking over her poor baby and she began to struggle. We had one last adventure with her up to Glencoe and made some memories before we took away her pain.

Although it was so hard to do it was the best thing for our girl and when I look back I know she hung on longer for us! I miss seeing her lying at the bottom of our bed while the sun shines in, snoring away and having puppy dreams!

We started 2020 up in Glencoe with fireworks and beautiful scenery, walking some more and building up my mobility. Planning and trying to be positive

The year started amazingly up until all this craziness began, a trip to the Isle of Skye for my Birthday,  trips to our favourite place working on more fun pieces and trying more walking! Making plans to go here and there and looking forward to my brothers Wedding. Now bam!! I'm stuck at home but it just means that all the adventures and plans will just have to wait! We WILL get there, see places and do all the things! Plus find a way for my brother and his partner to have an amazing day, whenever it happens!!
___________________________________________________________

After all that, are you still there??
Want to see some craftiness now?? I think it's time ........

My lovely friend Angela has started an fab little Facebook Challenge Use Your Craft Stash!. And exactly like the name, that's what we want you to do! Dig out all those crafty bits you've been hoarding and try using them.
And with Angela, Carole, Karen and myself we want to get you all crafting again

This weeks theme is Things with Wings

I used a SVG file I have had for years and wanted to try Boho Butterflies, some very very very old Core'dinations core 12x12 cardstock, vellum coloured with my trusty Spectrum Noir pens and used Gilding wax that must be at least 5 years old to add bronze details

I feed some lights up in inside the stem of the body and bunched them in the lampshade and its all set to go. The lights are some fab wee ones I got from Amazon meant for wine bottles and just perfect for this

Hope you will join in the challenge and dig into your own stash of goodies to create something!

Thanks again for staying and reading this HUGE "first" post and I do hope to see you again soon!
