Dinocorn Dave xx

Happy Wednesday everyone

Hope you're all well? Has it started to heat up where you are?? Its been dull, wet and windy here but warm! Today we have sunshine again tho the weather isn't promising for the weekend AGAIN! Thats not stopping me getting out tho.......... yes I can go out!! Only for a walk just now but WOOHOO!!

Over at Use Your Craft Stash we are still working on Anything Goes with the Letters C and D and I was stumped for my D!! I thought I had something and searched all over my craft room for it but nothing?? But a happy accident happened when one of my craft books landed on my lap .....

and here is my little Dinocorn Dave! Yip a Dinosaur Unicorn

He is from a super pattern in this book

When talking to the girls we weren't sure he needed the flowers?? I thought he still needed something so I made them on a hairband instead so it would be interchangeable! Plus he's so adorable with them hehehehe

I love his little spikes but those legs are the BEST! I can't stop thinking they look like little chicken drumsticks hehehehe

So here is my D crafty bits
Dinocorn or Dinosaur
Denim Colour Wool
Dusty Pink
Double Knitting Wool ??? Ok that ones pushing it

I have some other very emotional HAPPY news! One that seen me sitting in a pile of happy tears on Saturday when the post arrived

Yes! That there is me, swollen eyes and face from crying but so happy that I couldn't help but share!
My lovely editor Lee asked me a way way way back if I wanted to feature as Meet the Maker in Papercraft Essential??? Well at first I was just like NO, too nervous for people seeing me as ME and not just the craft. Hubby pursued me and here we are now! Its in issue 188 and I still can't believe it, little me as a feature!

Well I best actually do some work, I mean being a Maker means I need to do the making

Christmas Castle x

Morning lovelies

Happy Wednesday to you all, hope you're well?
I'm slowly getting through card orders, work and happily playing Animal Crossing. Still in Lockdown but it seems there is slow easing all over, sadly I'll be shielding

This time over at Use Your Craft Stash we are using the letters C and D with Anything Goes for the nest 2 weeks and also for fun Angela is counting how many of the chosen letter you van get into your craft make???!!! Think I'll leave it between her and Carole

Here's just a little something I made hehehe

My Christmas Castle

I made this from Charcoal card, Crimson card, Centura Pearl, Distress Inks, faux candles to light the towers some Classiques Spectrum Noirs to add details to the windows, some Hat pins and pearls to the towers and then lots and lots of Chloe's Sparkelicious Glitter (I'm still finding it all over my desk)

above is with the faux candles off

I used the Dreaming Tree SVG file Enchanted Winterland that I got a few years back but never had the chance to create! I will need to add the other elements ready to display at Christmas

I hope you will join over on Facebook and play along with the Challenge! Remember its ANYTHING just use the letter C or D with could be as simple as card to Diamond!

Well best get back to work ..... its a Victorian theme today hehehehe

BBbbbbbbb Bumblebee xxx

Morning all

Yip me again, two days in a row lol! Don't worry it won't be a common occurrence lol well maybe not??!! Yesterdays post was a few days later getting on but I eventually got there

Today I wanted to share a wee Letter B!!

This week at the challenge Use Your Craft Stash we are still on Anything Goes but with the option of the letter B! So here is my Bumblebee

How cute is it??
I used a fab Silhouette Cameo Design Studio file I have had at leat 2 years and just never got around to making! I'm sure it might have been free at the time?? But you can find it in store here

I used Black card from my stash, b-ellow card, b-ellum, b-lue, b-uvo b-rops and a b-owel inside the stand to hold him up! Ok yes I might have cheated there but gotta get as many "Bs" as I can heheheh! So yellow card, vellum, glue, Nuvo Drops and a dowel inside was what I really used!

Remember you still have until Sunday to join in, so come on! We'd love to see what you create!

Now I better start some actual work! Its been a slow morning being distracted by Animal Crossing

Take care and stay safe

Silver Wedding xx

Happy Tuesday
How are we all doing this week? Another week in lockdown and another week shielding! But things are looking better so hopefully it will continue if everyone follows the rules and sticks to Social Distancing!

Ok enough of the heavy .....

I've been working away on card orders this week and also Autumn makes for my allocations, yes Autumn lol! I also just got my first Christmas one in!! Don't worry still a few more months before it actually goes on sale
-----------------------------------------------

Today I wanted to share a wee Silver Wedding Exploding Box I was asked to make for a lovely lady to send to her Brother and Sister-in-Law during the first few weeks of Lockdown

I used some old silver toned pattern papers I've had in my stash a while and teamed them with my favourite Bazzil 12x12 White Card and Mulberry Flower to decorate

I cut out some files on my Silhouette as I couldn't find any of my dies or stamps I normally would team with Wedding or Anniversary cards but they worked out really well! I just coloured up the Champagne with Spectrum Noirs and added lots of sparkle to finish it off

I know the couple loved it and this was my first wee Exploding Box I had created in a while! Loved every minute of it and can't wait to make another

Well I best get back to work and then maybe bake some cookies for my hard working hubby

take acre and all stay safe in these crazy times

Vintage Wardrobe xx

Happy Wednesday

How are we all doing this week? Are you getting on well? Staying safe?
I know its so hard but when the sun is shining it does make this Lockdown and shielding that little bit easier! And so does buying cactus lol

Today I wanted t share a little something I made for this weeks challenge over at Use Your Craft Stash on Facebook

Again this week we have an Anything Goes theme so I dug through my paper stash and found these vintage inspired Kaiser Crafts papers and toppers called Sage and Grace and turned it into a Vintage Wardrobe using an SVG file

I used some Distress Ink in Weathered Wood for a soft subtle look on the papers and card. Used real working hinges and finished with a little clasp to hold it closed. I might make a small scene to go inside but for now I'm really pleased with it!

I'm slowly working through some cards for big Birthdays coming up and also playing Animal Crossing when I can get away with it. But today is for crafting then enjoying the sunshine!

Take care all, stay safe and craft

Altenew Box Magazine xx

Afternoon you lovely lot
Are you all well, staying safe? I can't believe this craziness is still going on but at least we are trying to make the best of it

I've been taking time to get the last of my work done, make some cards to add to my own stash and also play with my Nintendo Switch Lite! Yes I treated myself to a switch and Animal Crossing with mu Christmas and Birthday vouchers I was hoarding for some strange reason lol. So now I'm happily created my own wee world while the real one is mad!!

Today I wanted to share a littler something I was so so so pleased with and can't believe how they came out! What am I talking about????

YES!!

I was lucky to be asked to create some pieces to go along with the kit that comes with the magazine and the only brief was Wedding!

So as you know that's sooooo me! Not only that, I had my brothers invites on my desk so added their names fro the 'couple'! Sadly my brother and Jamielee to change their Wedding to next year so seeing their wee names in print sorta helps lol

look at the group photo!! Just makes me so happy to see those makes look so fab

the main Invite, I used the layer stamps but only the first layer and coloured with my pens then added a printed vellum overlay! Makes it look soft but the copper makes it all pop!

I also made a cute little favour box and again used the stamps but this time layered them to create the perfect Altenew floral flower to decorate the box

You'll have to see the magazine for yourself to see all the fab creations the rest of the team came up with! Plus the kit is AMAMZING! that stamp set alone I'd buy it for hehehehe

Apart from working on some fun pieces I've still been keeping up with our wee Challenge Facebook group, have you checked it out yet??
Its great for getting you to use up your old stash and see what other have been doing. Its bad tho for reminding you what you might have in your stash that you've forgot hehehehe

Here's what I made for the All at Sea Challenge last week

the wool was odds and ends from other projects and the pattern a very old magazine one! So Its not just paper crafts! Why not join in?? This week is Anything Goes and we can't wait to see what you've been making!

Well, until next time

Happy 75th Birthday

hello lovelies
I do hope you all had a lovely weekend? Staying home safe and trying not to go stir crazy?? Did you manage some crafting?

We had a quiet weekend here, with a spot of crochet and hubby sorting his workshop. He did manage to get me some pretty plants but with the freezing temperatures at night we've popped them in a cold frame until next weekend! He even got me a Camellia!!!! I've wanted one for years so a very happy girl indeed!!

P.S the Camellia is in the log hut

During the week my Mother-in-laws lovely friend (and mine) turned 75 and I knew she needed a SPECIAL card to send her. I had an image in my head of what I wanted to create so dug through my old stamps to find a certain one, that something special ................. NOTHING! I can't find it anywhere!! But I did come across some older Digi stamps and started to change my ideas into something different

I used to love creating these Tri-fold Cards and always thought they looked so Spectacular especially for a someones Special Birthday. The last time I made one I used it to enter a certain competition

The digi stamps are from Jeremiah Ketner (not sure you can still get them as they are at least 4 years old) and coloured with my Spectrum Noir Classiques. The hair might be a bit dark but I feel my skin tones are getting better. Plus the hair has to match a certain granddaughter for her!

The gorgeous papers are from Trimcraft First Edition Forever Free layered together, my old Spellbinder nesties for the frames with lots of Mulberry Flowers and gems to finish

Well I'm busy working on some work bits this week that I gave up on after it not going to plan?? But you'll have to wait to see what I'm talking about lol

Have a great day and hope your week is magical

Festival Makes xx

Hello you lovely lot

are you keeping well?? Finding time to have some crafty fun?? I've been creating some Birthday Cards and making some fun pieces that I can't share but I know you will love when I do (well I love them lol)

Now my latest makes are from my magazine piece in Simply Cards and Papercrafts 204

I was asked to create some pieces that you could use for a Festival Themed Party before all this happened!! And now it just seems strange to share but don't let that stop you having a try at making some of them!! Just imagine the invites you could send out once all this craziness is over to celebrate seeing your love ones

In this latest edition I show you how to create the little pop-up Invite and have templates to help you along the way, including the tree and tent

You can also create some table decorations using the templates creating some Drinks Tents to decorate along with some fun Tent Treat Boxes

I used the lovely Paper Addict Tropical Bliss 12x12 papers from Trimcraft to create all the pieces and they have the summer vibes I know we all can't wait for!

Hope you get you copy soon and create some of your own Festival Theme pieces! Don't forget let me know and share on the Simply Cards and Papercrafts Facebook Group!

Take care and stay safe
